n8n will soon be available as a fully managed environment inside the Joule Studio solution on the SAP Business AI Platform. With n8n, SAP software developers can visually build AI workflows and orchestrate agents from the n8n canvas directly within Joule Studio, combining agentic capabilities with process automation across SAP and the broader landscape of tools and services their organizations depend on.

Interested in n8n for your SAP environment, or just want to stay connected? Leave your email and our team will be in touch.
SAP handles identity, access control, and operations, so there’s nothing extra for teams to set up before they start building. And because the n8n embedded environment runs on SAP's cloud infrastructure, workflows stay where your most sensitive business systems already are. n8n brings enterprise-grade capabilities that complement SAP’s platform-level controls. For organizations operating under GDPR, sector-specific regulations, or internal data residency policies, the compliance story is built in.
We're bringing n8n into Joule Studio to give developers a powerful visual workflow engine embedded into SAP's Business AI Platform and enriched by our business process and data context. With n8n inside our platform, teams can orchestrate AI workflows that span SAP and third-party services while benefiting from the security, identity, and access controls they already trust.
— Sebastian Steinhaeuser, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Executive Board, SAP SE
The planned availability of n8n inside Joule Studio on SAP Business AI Platform builds on n8n and SAP’s strategic partnership, and delivers an AI-ready orchestration layer that complements SAP Build and SAP Integration Suite. It strengthens SAP’s ability to help customers shift from reactive processes to real-time operations by designing and scaling agentic workflows across their core business operations.
This partnership brings n8n into one of the largest enterprise ecosystems in the world. For SAP developers, it means a visual way to build and orchestrate AI workflows across their full tech stack. For our community, it means a native connection to one of the most trusted platforms in enterprise software. That's the kind of multiplier we're excited about.
— Jan Oberhauser, CEO, n8n
What this means for builders
Connect SAP to everything else
By leveraging n8n’s 1,000+ integrations spanning business tools, databases, AI models, cloud platforms, and more, linking an SAP system to an external service can take just minutes to set up. And it's not just n8n building these connections. Over half of the integrations in n8n’s library come from technology partners who build and maintain them independently, so coverage keeps expanding as the ecosystem around it grows.
For tools or legacy systems that don't have a dedicated connection, n8n's HTTP request and webhook nodes let developers reach anything with an API, making the full tech stack more accessible.
Build and orchestrate visually
The n8n canvas lets developers build, audit and debug workflow logic, including branching, loops, error handling and retries within a single interface. Workflows are easy to share and maintain without requiring code review.
That same canvas supports agentic systems, allowing developers to orchestrate workflows with agents across SAP and other systems. Developers can coordinate agents, set conditions and guardrails like PII detection, include human-in-the-loop checkpoints and track agents’ runtime actions.

The n8n canvas enables broader participation in building SAP software-connected workflows, which do not require SAP-specific development expertise. Builders can use Joule studio to design workflows using natural language and refine them visually, letting business analysts, data teams, or developers use SAP data without coding directly against SAP systems. This frees SAP experts to focus on specialized tasks and makes adapting integrations easier as systems change.
Connections native to SAP software
As part of this partnership, a new set of SAP software nodes are in development, allowing you to work with SAP software systems and Joule Agents natively from the canvas. These will provide tighter connections to the SAP Business AI Platform, enabling deeper agent grounding. Early additions will include SAP-specific nodes as well as governed access to third-party LLMs and SAP's own AI models via SAP AI Core infrastructure.
What’s next
n8n inside Joule Studio gives SAP software developers a visual, flexible way to build workflows and orchestrate agents across their entire tech stack and gives the n8n community its strongest connection to SAP’s enterprise ecosystem yet.
Attendees of the SAP Sapphire event are getting a first look in Orlando, with an early adopter experience for select customers and partners to follow. SAP software nodes for n8n will roll out alongside the integration with Joule Studio, with general availability to come in Q3 2026.
